GRATITUDE :

Gratitude is the best medicine. It heals your mind, body & soul. And attracts more things to be grateful for.

It can lead to positive actions –

Whether expressing thankfulness or boosting our motivation to help others, a grateful attitude has been shown to increase our likelihood to spread the encouragement and joy & happiness, it generates in us.

Research suggests gratitude may also play a role in motivating individuals to engage in positive behaviors leading to ‘self-improvement.’

This can positively affect us on two levels.–

1. First, when we have a grateful mindset, we tend to involve ourselves in other practices that improve our well-being, such as meditation, sports, and recognizing our strengths. 2. Second, it moves us to be kinder, more thoughtful, and more altruistic.

Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, people generally acknowledge the goodness in their lives. In the process, people usually recognize that the source of that goodness lies at least partially outside themselves. As a result, being grateful also helps everybody, connect to something larger than themselves as individuals — whether to other people, groups, nature, or a higher supreme power.

In positive psychology studies & research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness & satisfaction. Gratitude helps people feel more deep positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.
